Hilary Duff has found a way to beat the heat, joining the cast of the new Polish brothers comedy "Stay Cool."
Duff co-stars in "Cool" with Winona Ryder, Mark Polish, Sean Astin, Chevy Chase and Jon Cryer.
The project, which shoots in July in Santa Clarita, Calif., is described as a "knowing-your-age comedy," centering on a successful author (Polish) who is forced to confront an unrequited high school crush (Ryder) when he returns home to deliver a commencement address to graduating seniors.
Duff will portray Shasta O'Neil, a sexy high school senior who flirts with the visiting author and invites him to the prom.
Mark and Michael Polish, who wrote the script, are producing with Jonathan Sheldon, Ken Johnson and Janet DuBois via their new Prohibition Pictures banner. Michael Polish is directing.
Duff, who broke through by becoming a tween superstar via her Disney TV series "Lizzie McGuire," has been slowly moving beyond that audience. She can be seen in the political satire "War, Inc." opposite John Cusack and has films "Safety Glass" and "Greta" in the can. Duff will be back in the studio to work on her fifth album this summer.
She is repped by WMA and Curtis Talent Management.

1. "Reach Out" will premiere VERY soon. The date isn't revealed, but Iit will be a surprise.
2. Joe Bermudez's remix will be available sometime between July 4th & 11th. There's a possibility of the full song, or a clip, being released earlier via Joe's myspace.
3. The promos for the single have been reworked with the rapper version being the lead single. Promos will be sent to radios in July.
4. iTunes release in August.
5. Hollywood Records are planning to speak to Ryan Tedder next week & discuss what he said about Hilary. If he doesn't cooperate, they may have to take action.

Haylie Duff gave Jared [justjared.com] interview and of course she mentioned Hilary!
JJ: You wrote two songs on your sister�s album right?
HD: Yeah, I�ve written like seven or eight songs for her albums, and I write for soundtracks and things like that. I did the Sweet Sixteen song for MTV. I love music and it�s something that I care a lot about.

JJ: You did the theme song for Sweet Sixteen?
HD: Yeah, I wrote and produced it. That�s enough of an outlet for me right now. I don�t know what I�d do for an album. Until I know exactly what I want to do, I just don�t want to put my energy into it yet.

JJ: So what�s on your iPod right now?
HD: A lot of old music actually. I put Gladys Knight back on my iPod. When they did that tribute with Jack Black, that was so funny. I have a lot of Gladys Knight right now. I�m still listening to James Morrison, I love him. Kate Nash. I�m listening to Eddie Vedder. I know that�s so random. The Into the Wild soundtrack�totally into. It changes all the time. I listen to a lot of old music, so its mainly like Bob Dylan and older stuff like that. Should I say Hilary Duff? I have Hilary Duff on my iPod.

JJ: Are you two very supportive of each other�s careers? (Haylie is Hilary�s older sister.)
HD: Yes, of course.

JJ: Do you try to differentiate yourselves from each other?
HD: It�s funny because in an industry where everything is so calculated and every move is thought out, like what next move to make� But we don�t do that. We�ve just gone in different directions and worked on different things. But we�re so supportive of each other. She�s actually here in New York but working something else but for just a day. I haven�t seen her in like am month. I fly home and she flies home tonight so I finally get to see her. We�re extremely close. There was a rumor that was going around (that we got into a huge fight). It�s just so crazy. I think if we�re not photographed together for like a month or a couple of weeks, they think we hate each other all of a sudden. So, I don�t know. I�m excited to go home.

June 6 - Hilary Duff spotted getting ready to move in Toluca Lake on June 6. It could be for her sister but from the look of it Hilary was doing all the work going back and forth to a new home which is very close to Ashley Tisdale. Hilary can be seen greeting friends to the new home and hugging and talking to Ashley Tisdale's Mom. An officer from Post alarm showed up as well to help Hilary Duff have a pleasant chat with the neighbors. Hilary can be seen with and without glasses, with bags and later towels and water.
