I am on this month's cover of Self magazine! I love how the photos came out. When I did the shoot, everyone was nice and chatty. Oh yeah, they had great food too! I feel really good about the whole process because I like the fact that they are all about finding out about the real me, Hilary Duff, and not all that extra gossip and craziness. I just finished going over my concert schedule and I am happy to be going back to St. John and doing the concert that was cancelled due to bad weather. Since the show sold out so quickly, I will add on another show the day before! I am also determined to make sure that I finish out our South American tour soon. I am so grateful for all of my fans and their continued support. Without your support, I would not be able to do what I do. I am honored to be involved with such special people. I will be in NY a lot with my fashion line and the movie and the new fragrance with Elizabeth Arden. Well, gotta go. I'll talk to you later.

Duff Makes Richiest Celebrities Under 25 List

Age means nothing but number. Though, number does matter. In case of Forbes magazine, age and number are tied closely one to another. Apparently, the magazine has in its annual list of the world's 100 most powerful celebrities found out an interesting phenomenon.
The result of the poll surprisingly includes 11 young celebrities under 25 that becoming American's biggest earners. Among them is Mary-Kate Olsen with $21 million earnings resulted from her production company and retail ventures. Also there is NBA phenomenon LeBron James, which earns $23 million by the year 2005.
Other celebrities considered as the young and the rich among others are Paris Hilton with $6.5 million, Lindsay Lohan taking in $11 million, Hilary Duff makes $15 million, Maria Sharapova earns $18.2 million, Serena Williams picks up $12.7 million, Frankie Muniz, Ashlee Simpson, Adriana Lima, and Amanda Bynes.

Hollywood Records just announced that the Soundtrack to "Material Girls" will be released August 22nd. The soundtrack will feature three new songs and one of the songs will be "Material Girl" featuring Haylie Duff. Remember, the movie releases August 18th!

Duff and Usher Are "Coolest" Celebrities

Hilary Duff and Usher are the coolest of the cool, with Shaquille O'Neal and Johnny Depp not far behind, according to a Decision Analyst and Hypothesis Group survey of the nation's 9- to 12-year- old "tweeners".
This spring Decision Analyst and Hypothesis Group, two leading marketing research firms, completed their second annual "Hot Or Not?'' survey that measures attitudes of preteens toward celebrities, products, brands, and the nation at large. Conducted by Hypothesis Group and Decision Analyst, the 2006 survey was based on a statistically balanced sample of 1,026 preteens. The margin of error was plus or minus 3 percent.
When asked whether certain celebrities and characters are "cool'' or "not cool", 63 percent of respondents described Duff and Usher as cool, making them the favored celebrities. Next in popularity were Shaq and Depp, cited as cool by 62 percent of respondents.
The biggest gainers in popularity since last year were Gwen Stefani, up 13 percent; Kelly Clarkson, up 9 percent; and Depp, up 6 percent, the study shows. The biggest losers were Tiger Woods, down 13 percent; Britney Spears, less popular by 10 percent; and Brad Pitt, down 7 percent.
Among all celebrities, some appear to be on the decline in popularity. Spears was considered cool by only 32 percent of respondents, Madonna by 29 percent, Katie Holmes by 25 percent, and Paris Hilton by 23 percent.
Asked which celebrities they were most "sick of,'' respondents most often named Spears, Jessica Simpson, Hilton, and Tom Cruise.

Hey everyone, I can't begin to tell you how excited I am about the release of Material Girls on August 18th nationwide! I just saw the last cut of the movie and my sister Haylie is so good! She is funny and beautiful. You are going to see her in a different light than what you are used to seeing. Angelica Houston is elegant. I am truly happy and ecstatic over the final movie. Make sure you tune in to TRL Monday June 26th when I kick off the trailer for movie week with Haylie! TTYL!

Meeting with the parents

Joel Madden is taking his girlfriend Hilary Duff home to Mom this summer.
"I really want her to see where I grew up, because (it's) sort of a humble place. It's not Hollywood at all," the Good Charlotte rocker says of his Waldorf, Md., hometown. "I want her to see that different life and take her to the jobs I used to have unloading trucks, making pizzas and waiting tables."
And Duff is also teaching him a little about her way of life: She's giving Madden pointers for his acting debut in the movie Valley of the Damned, which starts filming this month.
"My girlfriend has been really helpful – she's a great little actress," he told in Beverly Hills recently.

Miss Duff in Elle

Think Hilary Duff's just a goodie-two-shoes for the tween set? She ditches that too-sweet side in the new issue of Elle, taking on her critics in a cover story for the magazine's July issue. Asked about the fluffy nature of most of her films, she responds, "Um, are you saying my movies are crap?" Even if Elle doesn't, there's no denying the critics' response — after all, The New York Times' Stephen Holden called her "talent-challenged." "He doesn't really fit the demographic," Duff replied. "So I could really care less. Look at me, and look at where he is — sorry! Would he prefer that I take some super-adult role that is inappropriate so I would have no place to grow? ... Suppose the next thing I did was this super-edgy independent movie where I was pregnant or shooting up. What would that do to my fan base?" She also has no love for the music critics and radio programmers who dismiss her pop music. "I feel like I do so much," she tells the mag. "And it strikes me that I don't hear myself on the radio. That critics don't really talk about my music. I mean, a song like 'Wake Up' is not for a 50-year-old man with arthritis who doesn't want to get out of bed"

Hilary Duff finally plans to shed her image as “Disney Pop Princess” and release a more “adult” album. Hilary Duff plans to release an album entitled "It Can’t Rain All The Time" through her label Hollywood Records.
She recruited producers The Matrix, her Good Charlotte boyfriend; Joel Madden, and even Moby to produce a synth/pop album with hard rock undertones. She plans to use Britney Spears 2003 release In The Zone as a template.
She has finished recording a few songs including the title track written by little known actor Parys Sylver.
The Title track "Can't Rain All The Time" is a tale about the author's straining relationship.
