Where to begin? I have been in NY for the Material Girls premiere with my sister. We had so much fun doing press and laughing and goofing off together. The premiere was awesome. The movie opened Friday. Haylie had to do lots of press and is still doing Hairspray on Broadway. I don't know where she finds the energy. We did a radio and TV satellite tour, Regis and Kelly and CBS Early Show, TRL on MTV, The Morning Show and to top it off, while Haylie was on stage for Hairspray, I went to be on David Letterman!
I also kicked off my fashion show on www.hilaryonred.com. Be sure to check it out. I am excited about my new scent with Elizabeth Arden. I might be shooting a commercial for it within a week or two. I forgot to tell you that I premiered my video on TRL! Please go to MTV.com to vote for me!
I hope you guys checked out my online fashion show at www.hilaryonred.com. I had fun doing it and I feel good about the clothing line. It was cool. I wanted to tell you more about being on TRL too. I was on with Christina Aguilera and Sam Jackson. Don't forget to go to MTV.com and vote for me! Unfortunately, I didn't get to see Hairspray this time around. New Hilary's CD is coming!

Singer and actress Hilary Duff says she is hard at work on a new, as-yet-untitled album, set for release this fall.
While admitting she has no desire to alienate the legions of young girls who comprise her fan base and bought her albums "Metamorphosis," "Hilary Duff" and "Most Wanted," the 18-year-old star also says she is serious about trying to grow as a recording artist.
"(The new album) is totally different than any of the music that I have ever done before," - Duff told reporters in New York recently. - "I don't want to say it's hip-hop because it's totally not, but it's a little less pop-rock and more electronic-sounding. It has a lot of dance melodies."
Duff admitted that while the album isn't completely written yet, it is due to arrive in November.
"I have to hurry, so September is the month to get it all finished," she said.
A video for "Play With Fire," first single from the new CD, premiered last week on MTV.

Teen Star Hilary Duff is launching her first fragrance called With Love. It targets women aged from 15 to 24 although Duff
thinks it will appeal to a broader audience due to the sophistication of the scent. The star closely monitored the creation of
the fragrance saying it took 115 different versions to perfect it. The juice was created by Quest perfumers Stephen Nilsen and
Rodrigo Flores-Roux. "In terms of ingredients, effervescent mangosteen and Champagne represent the “fun and bubbly” side of
Duff’s personality, while her “complex, sensual side” is highlighted by an accord of textured cocobolo woods." Click here to see

What’s up? I’m doing a photo shoot for two different Canadian publications from 10 to 5 on Thursday! I have been trying to kick
back and relax for a few days. I got to hang out with Joel. We went to eat and saw a movie. I thought that Monster House was cool.
I can't wait until next week when we go to the Material Girls premiere because my mom, my sister, my boyfriend, Haylie’s
boyfriend, my cousins, my co-workers and so on and so on will be there! A whole lot of people are flying in for it. It opens on
the 18th of August. We could only do the premiere on Monday because Haylie is doing Hairspray on Broadway every day except Monday.
Make sure you support us and go to see the movie! Oh yeah and check me out when I preview my new video "Play With Fire" next week
on TRL. It’s hot! There are mirrors reflecting and glass breaking with fire all around. I am soooo happy with it. Gotta go.
Hilary Shoots Trippy Clip For New Single

Although she hasn't announced it with much fanfare, Hilary Duff has a new song hitting radio in a few weeks. No, it's not the much-discussed cover with her sister, Haylie, of Madonna's "Material Girl," the song that inspired the pair's upcoming "Material Girls" movie. Hilary's single will be a sneak peek at her upcoming album — which she's quietly been recording in between tour dates.
"Play With Fire" — formerly called "Happy" — is a dancey techno tune for which the singer shot a video in Toronto last month with directing duo Alex and Martin (the White Stripes' "Seven Nation Army," U2's "Vertigo"). Alex and Martin wanted the clip to look both "real and surreal," incorporating a lot of fire, explosions, distortions and reflections, "like a house of mirrors in an amusement park," according to their video treatment.

Hilary's Next Single, Album, Clothing Line and new Fragrance

The new reports are that the single has changed name to "Play With Fire" and isn't completed yet. Still, they have started shooting the music video already with a lot of special effects in Toronto. The song will be hitting the radio in a few weeks, on 21st of August! It's going to be the first single from her upcoming album, which she has been recorded quietly between tour dates. The album is untitled yet and it is due November 21st!
Hilary is also working with her clothing line, Stuff by Hilary Duff. And she will have a line coming out that is targeted for girls who are 15 to 20. That line will inclued that sort of clothes that Hilary wears.
Hilary's fragrance called "With Love" will arrive next month! She has created it with Elizabeth Arden. More details about it: It has notes of mangosteen fruit, spice, cocobolo wood, amber milk and musk, generating an effervescent oriental feel.
Joel and Benji Madden created the remix version of Madonna's song "Material Girls" for Hilary and Haylie's upcoming movie "Material Girls. And both Joel and Benji will be on the premiere of the movie.

I forgot to tell u last time that I shot my new video in Toronto. It is called "Play With Fire." Two great French directors
Alex and Martin directed the video. They have mirrors breaking and fire everywhere. I am really happy and excited about how my
music is evolving! I am on my way to New Jersey to do a show at the Trump Taj Mahal and Toms River. After that, I have a show in
Hershey, PA and in North Carolina for the Military Families. Then I head to NY to do promotions for Material Girls which opens
August 18th. I also want to see my sister Haylie in Hairspray on Broadway again. She will be in the show for 3 months. I saw it
opening night and it was awesome! Coming up soon, I’ll be going to New Orleans for the anniversary of Katrina. I am going to
help people and try to keep the American spirit energized.

Hilary: virgin or not?

When 18-year-old Hilary Duff announced that she was still a virgin in a recent interview with Elle magazine, many people were shocked. Though the actress has a squeaky-clean image, she also dates Joel Madden, the 27-year-old frontman of pop punk band, Good Charlotte. For the most part, people had thought it was safe to assume these two had done the deed.
In her interview, Hilary confessed: "It's harder having a boyfriend who's older because people just assume. But [virginity] is definitely something I like about myself. It doesn't mean I haven't thought about sex, because everyone I know has had it and you want to fit in."
Now the singer/actress is claiming that she never said she was a virgin. Using the Lindsay Lohan defense, Duff says that the writer for Elle took her statement out of context. In an interview with MuchMusic, Hilary said: "The thing is that I didn't say that. I wouldn't say that. I don't know how [the writer] got that out of what I said." Hilary explained that her virginity is "definitely not something that I would talk about or that I would want people to focus on. Or that I even think it's appropriate to talk about. Whose business is that?"

I have soo much to tell you! I missed u guys last week but I'm back to keep you posted. I am in Canada doing a brief tour. St John's was a cool concert. The show sold out in 10 minutes, so we did another one! The fans are awesome. I can't wait to go back. Halifax and London were fun too and I'm doing Toronto this evening. It is always a good show. I am on my way to Much Music to talk about my new movie Material Girls which opens on August 18th. My sister Haylie stars in it with me!
Toronto is like a second home to me, I love the people and it reminds me of a cleaner New York. Oh yeah, if you can get to New York to see Hairspray, you should! I am not just saying that because Haylie is in it. The acting, dancing and singing were spectacular! I was in awe. I wish that I had the time to do Broadway! It's a must see! I'll see ya next week.
